"Well, I am an English photographer, based primarily in London and I create ever so slightly strange photos and short films involving women in impalpably erotic situations. This began by mistake, or at least the chance meeting between a voyeur and an exhibitionist upon a dissecting table, leading to myself picking up a camera and taking some nice photos. This was an accident as well, since I had at that time had no formal training and very little idea how this box of glass and mirrors and buttons worked.

Despite my ignorance, something clicked and encouraged by initial results I began to shoot more and more, began printing and developing my own work (for I am of the last generation of film photographers – now sadly seduced into the point and click bitch-a-thon of the digital age) which I gradually began forming into a blend of the erotic, the surreal and the anhedonic.

Now I hate seeing the word surrealism bandied about as much as the next fella and don’t use it lightly here when I mention it as a reference point within what I do. I would also gesture in the vague direction of Japanese Erotic Art and wouldn’t object too highly at the accusation of taking inspiration from elements of pornographic imagery."
