Alexey
Nikishin lives in Moscow and made the leap into the realm
of professional photography over five years ago. His technical
skill is readily apparent to anyone who looks at his work,
but what may not be so obvious is the great depth of emotion
that can be found beyond his studio technique.
Look into the eyes of any of Alexey’s
models and you will know exactly what I mean. If the eyes
are the windows into the human soul then Alexey has not
only found it, but has the daring and ferocity to not only
capture it, but stare it straight in the face and share
it with those he photographs and those who view his work.
Such a skill is a rarity in the photography world. All too
often, human emotion will be sacrificed in order to portray
the beauty of the human body, and that isn’t always
a bad thing, however Alexey is willing pass over the obvious
into a realm that leaves a greater and longer lasting impression
on the viewer.
He
uses a DSLR Canon 20D for shooting and also several fixed-lenses,
such as: Canon EF 50/1.4, Canon EF 85/1.8, Canon EF 100/2.8
macro. For taking photography of plain air , landscapes
he uses a Canon EF 17-40/4L.
