The professional beauty photographer has been fascinated with the art of photography since his childhood. At the age of 24, he set up his first studio in 1990. Since then, numerous commissioned shootings in Europe and the USA have confirmed the popular style of his commercial activities.
However, commercial obligations also involve constraints, conformity and limitations on artistic expression. Under the formative influence of his artistic parents – his mother was a successful writer and his father a well-known sculptor and painter – he developed more creative ambitions.
It was more than ten years ago that Thomas discovered his passion for nude photography as an outlet for his more creative pursuits. Since then, he has devoted increasing amounts of energy and time on his passion.

The outcomes of this preoccupation are works of art that are not designed to please at all costs. Instead, they are the pure expression of Thomas’ style and his vision of femininity. Publications in various print magazines and two compilations show, however, that this aspect of his work is also received favourably.

Thomas Schweizer arranges his images like portraits and plans every detail of his works meticulously. Despite the rather chilling eroticism of his images, his models do not appear stiff or masked, but rather calm, tranquil and self-confident. He is not a critic of every-day life. Thomas prefers to work with the outward show of the beautiful, and he is focused on the harmony and aesthetic of his vision.
